It is with great sadness that the Trustees, in consultation with our Director, have decided that we have no choice but to postpone our production of Twelfth Night – there will be no Summer production this year.  

Although difficult to predict what will be considered an appropriate action when the production is taking place (the end of June is when the virus is currently predicted to peak), this feels like the only proper decision to make now because with the government guidance on unnecessary contact, we cannot expect our cast and wider team to prepare and rehearse the show, even if we were able to perform it at a later date. 

We hope that by making this decision now, it allows everyone involved to know where they stand and concentrate on staying safe and healthy.    We would like to highlight that this is a postponement rather than a cancellation.  Whilst we will not be performing Twelfth Night this year, it will be next year’s show (dates for your diaries; Tuesday 22 June – Sat 3 July 2021!) – so think of it more as a dramatic pause… 

Those who have already bought tickets to the show will have received an email from ticketsource regarding the cancellation and will be refunded in full.  If you have any concerns, or feel that the refund has not been processed correctly, please email us on boxoffice@satg.org.uk

In the meantime, we wish you all the best in these uncertain times and we hope to be back in touch in the not too distant future with news about further productions.
