Shakespearean

Shakespeare at The George

Presents

SHAKESPEAREAN

By William Shakespeare and Lynne Livingstone

As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations this year, Lynne Livingstone has created a brand new work based on the words and plot devices found throughout Shakespeare’s plays.

Shakespearean is a one-act play formed entirely from lines found in each of his 37 plays to create a whole new story – at once fresh and yet strangely familiar.

With it’s world premiere at The Bridge Festival, Shakespearean features scheming royalty and passionate lovers engaged in cross-dressing, mistaken identity and a happy ending!

Performances (as part of The Bridge Festival):

Friday April 5, 7-8pm, Commemoration Hall, Huntingdon

Sunday April 7, 11.30-12.30, Comrades Club, Godmanchester

Tickets to both Bridge Arts Festival performances are free and can be booked through the festival organisers by clicking here

In addition, we will be performing Shakespearean as part of a special ‘dinner and show’ event at The George Hotel, Huntingdon, on Friday 12 April.  More details, including how to book tickets, will be available very soon (watch this space).
