Next Productions: Shakespearean (April) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (June / July)

Shakespearean, By William Shakespeare and Lynne Livingstone

Friday 5 April 2019 (Commemoration Hall, Hunts) and Sunday 7 April 2019 (Comrades Club, Godmanchester)

Directed by Lynne Livingstone

As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations in 2019, Lynne Livingstone has created a brand new work based on the words and plot devices found throughout Shakespeare’s plays. Shakespearean is a one-act play formed entirely from lines found in each of his 37 plays to create a whole new story – at once fresh and yet strangely familiar. With it’s world premiere at The Bridge Festival, Shakespearean features scheming royalty and passionate lovers engaged in cross-dressing, mistaken identity and a happy ending!

Ticket details available soon.

I am interested to see that there is a break on 31 June!

I look forward to it. I first met the Dream at Huntingdon Grammar School, not far from the George, in September 1963!

Glad to hear it – and thanks for feeding back about the slight error in performance dates. You are, of course, right that there is no show on Sunday 30th – rather than Sunday 31st. Consider it changed!
