Next Productions: Shakespearean (September 2019) and Twelfth Night (Summer 2020)

Shakespearean, By William Shakespeare and Lynne Livingstone

Come and enjoy a two or three course meal followed by the brand new one-act play from award-winning theatre company Shakespeare at The George (SaTG).  Shakespearean was commissioned by SaTG as part of its 60th anniversary celebrations this year and was created by writer / director Lynne Livingstone based on the words and plot devices found throughout Shakespeare’s plays.

Formed entirely from lines found in each of Shakespeare’s 37 plays to create a whole new story, Shakespearean is at once fresh and yet strangely familiar – scheming royalty and passionate lovers engaged in cross-dressing, mistaken identity and a happy ending!

Wednesday 18th, Thursday 19th and Friday 20th September

Food served from 7.30pm. Play starts in the Manchester Room (indoors) at 8.45pm

Ticket prices (all prices include meal and tickets to the show):

£15.00 for two courses / £17.99 for three courses

Tickets are available from reception at The George Hotel, by emailing or by calling 01480 432444 (option 3). Full payment will be taken at time of booking (tickets are non-refundable).

“Livingstone’s play is delightfully cheeky and irreverent…a delicious romp through Shakespeare’s career, and will be gratifying to Bard fans.”

J Lex Collins

    “Thirty days hath September . . .”

I look forward to it. I first met the Dream at Huntingdon Grammar School, not far from the George, in September 1963!

Glad to hear it – and thanks for feeding back about the slight error in performance dates. You are, of course, right that there is no show on Sunday 30th – rather than Sunday 31st. Consider it changed!
