SatG in the Parlour

SaTG in the Parlour was created to broaden the range and accessibility of SaTG productions.  We will continue to put on our large scale open-air Shakespearean production every summer but the Parlour concept allows us to provide high quality local drama at other times of the year, in more intimate settings, featuring the work of other playwrights – extending the range of productions available to audiences, actors and crew in Cambridgeshire.

The Diary of Anne Frank

The story of Anne Frank is one that many of us learn at a young age and one that has captivated stage and screen audiences for many years, including an Oscar-winning adaptation in 1959.  The adaptation in question was written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett and it is their original Broadway script that Shakespeare at The George will be bringing to Huntingdon audiences in November as part of its Parlour offering.

Before each performance of The Diary of Anne Frank, our usual pre-theatre suppers are available at The George Hotel, George Street, Huntingdon (directly opposite All saints Church) each night and must be booked directly through the hotel (01480 432444).

2 course £15.95 / 3 course £18.95

(including coffee)

A non-refundable deposit of £5 per person will be required at time of booking.

Leek & potato soup garnished with strips of smoked salmon

House pate accompanied with an onion chutney & toast

Crayfish salad with a honey & dill mayonnaise

Pork loin masked with a wholegrain mustard & honey sauce

Thyme roasted chicken breast resting on a ratatouille of vegetables

Cod fillet accompanied with a leek & sweetcorn sauce

Poached salmon topped with a prawn & herb hollandaise

Above served with chef potatoes & seasonal vegetables

Sage roasted butternut squash bake

Chocolate orange profiteroles

Chocolate & Sea salt tart

Meals that are not cancelled within 24 hours prior to the meal will be charged at full price.
